The Huntsville Pistol and Revolver Club is an emergent, family oriented facility offering a dynamic range of shooting sports activities. The club was established in the early 1950’s and has enjoyed successful growth in membership, recognition by the Chief Firearms Officer for distinction in safety and accessibility as well as popularity amongst local Muskoka shooting sports enthusiasts (residential and commuter).
We offer many standard features one would typically expect to find with other sport shooting facilities including both an indoor and outdoor range including retractible target systems (RTS) (Indoor only). Please note, both the indoor and outdoor ranges are limited to pistol calibre and rimfire firearms ONLY to a maximum of 25 yards. Shotguns are allowed, at the OUTDOOR range ONLY, to a maximum of 7 1/2 shot .
The club is accessible 7 Days a week via secure encrypted door code locks with 24 hour internal and external security camera surveillance to ensure that both guests and members remain safe under the club’s firearms discharge regulations.
Please note, we DO allow members and/or guests to discharge “Prohibited” but NOT “Automatic” firearms under any conditions (with or without permits including Police Services and/or current Military/Armed Forces personnel).
In addition to our basic shooting ranges, our facility features a fully functional classroom/instructional space, restrooms; all with heated year round access and town supplied septic/toilet facilities.
We offer H1/H2 Hunting Certification Courses (Ontario Outdoors Card is not required prior to enrolment/completion of the H1/H2 Course) throughout the course of the year (please check the Calendar for more information on dates). Please note that ALL new members are required to complete and pass an additional one day Club Level Safety Course (an additional fee for the course is required) which includes classroom and indoor range instruction.
